Our Story

Here at Holts Tours, we pride ourselves on being the specialist in educational battlefield tours.

With almost 40 years’ experience in operating battlefield and history tours, and more than 25 years providing exceptional school travel, we seek to bring history to life, understand the past, and ensure a memorable and rewarding battlefield tour for your students.

We believe in making the school trip experience simple and stress-free for teachers. Not only do the members of our experienced team all share an interest in history and travel, they’re committed to delivering quality planning and service, paying meticulous attention to detail and providing you with total support.

Each of our school tours can be tailor-made to suit the needs of your pupils, parents and school. While on history and battlefield tours, some schools prefer to visit a specific grave or war cemetery and lay a wreath, or many like to incorporate free time to enjoy other local attractions, simply let us know your requirements and we can build them into your itinerary.

“Our battlefield tours have a profound effect on students, who come away understanding the importance of Remembering and that warfare is about the experience of ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances”

Jacqui Shaw, Head of Schools and Colleges Battlefield Tours
