At Holts we make organising your school tours easy. With an excellent selection of battlefield and study tours, and the ability to tailor make a tour to your specific requirements, we can help.
Whether you’re a UK based school or overseas, it has never been easier to arrange a memorable and engaging experience for your students, and our dedicated team is here to assist you.
Planning your trip
Before you start, a little forward planning is always helpful. It’s good to consider the objectives of the trip, the age of your group and where you will be travelling from in the UK or overseas.
While our standard itineraries will suit the purposes of many schools, all of our tours can also be tailor-made to suit the needs of your pupils and your school.
If there are sites that you would like to visit while on tour, whether it be a specific grave or cemetery to lay a wreath, we can include this in your tour itinerary.
Our Battlefields and Education Team are always on hand to provide valuable advice and to tailor itineraries if you prefer something a little different. Simply contact us via phone, live chat, email or we can call you.
What happens next?
Once you have an idea of what you’re looking for, we can arrange a quotation for your chosen dates and itinerary. We will go through everything with you to make sure the trip is exactly what you’re looking for.
When you’re ready to book, simply let us know and we’ll do all the hard work for you. At this time, we require a deposit to secure your booking.
You’re all booked!
Once we have received your deposit and completed your booking and deposit, we will issue your confirmation invoice, together with a Passenger Information List, on which you will need to provide us with the full name of each person travelling in your group, their emergency contact information, passport details and any special requests or dietary requirements.
A final tour pack will be issued approximately one month before your departure date.
All of our holidays are 100% financially protected with ATOL and ABTA. We can arrange inspection visits and, wherever you decide to tour with us, you will always have access to an experienced member of our team through our 24-hour duty system.

All of our holidays are fully bonded by both ATOL and ABTA, so you can be safe in the knowledge that you have full financial protection from the moment you book.
We can also arrange inspection visits to any sites and accomodations, no matter where you decide to tour with us. Plus, you will always have access to an experienced member of our team on hand throughout your tour with our 24-hour duty system.
